The Facebook fan page is a Seller favorite, and an important part of the Northpoint Listing Makeover. Why have a fan page? Because there are almost 1 billion people on Facebook. Using a fan page increases the exposure for your Listing, but more importantly it increases the exposure for YOU.
Some important things to remember about the Facebook fan page:
- The purpose of the Facebook fan page is to allow you (the Agent) to post comments and photos that are relevant to the listing. Use it to highlight features you may not be able to articulate in the MLS remarks. For example, talk about the park down the street, the coffee shop on the corner, the walking trails in the neighborhood, etc. Find out why the Seller loved the area and talk about it!
- The Facebook fan page is only as effective as you are! The fan page is not a web site, and it does not market itself. The fan page only gets noticed if you post items to your social network. Make it a habit to post one item per week or so about the listing; always direct the reader back to the Listing Makeover.
- The Sellers LOVE the concept of the fan page, so don’t underestimate the importance of it. Will the fan page sell the home? Probably not. But, again, the Sellers LOVE it. Besides, use the fan page to sell YOU.
